Maureen’s final role at NBBJ was as a Designer and Project Manager of the firm’s new Seattle office space at 223 Yale. In addition to being a member of the Design Team, Maureen was also the Project Manager of the relocation of the 350-plus architects and designers from the Pioneer Square location into their brand new office space located in the South Lake Union area. The entire physical move was executed over the 2006 President’s Day weekend.

Maureen is a LEED accredited professional. The NBBJ 223 Yale Seattle Office project was awarded a LEED-CI gold rating. Environmentally responsible design practices have become native to her process.

In 2006 Maureen, her husband Peter and beloved Llewellin setters (Willy and Vela) retired from their city life and relocated back to Crested Butte to pursue a lifestyle focused on the outdoors.

Maureen has been practicing at the Thurston Kitchen + Bath Crested Butte showroom since 2006. She has enjoyed working with many full and part-time Crested Butte area Homeowners in the design of their homes, including Kitchens (indoor and outdoor), Bathrooms, Gear Rooms, Laundry Rooms, Home Offices, Libraries and Fireplaces.

Maureen has developed strong working relationships with many of the local builders and artisans, working together to bring the vision of Clients’ interiors projects to life. She finds great joy in her work. Crested Butte is very fortunate to have some super-talented craftsmen right here in the valley.

When away from the drawing board, Maureen, Peter and their bird dog Gallo take every opportunity to head out on camping, fly fishing, hiking, hunting, canoeing and skiing adventures whenever they can. Their love of the outdoors is fully realized by living in Crested Butte. Frequent excursions to the Sea of Cortez and other destinations for blue-water flyfishing adventures round out their experiences.
